About AméliorActionAméliorAction, a company incorporated in Quebec and created in 2002, is chaired by Jean Lalonde. AméliorAction offers consultation and training services in management, information technologies and communication. About Jean LalondeJean Lalonde has a long management experience in new media industry, a vast knowledge in information technology management, project management and communication. He has been manager and consultant in the communication and new media industry for more than twenty years. He has a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from Sherbrooke University. He also studied Information Technology at HEC Montréal and Communications at Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). Jean Lalonde was one of the first journalists in Quebec specialized in new media ("télématique"), information technology and telecoms in the years 1980s. He wrote papers for various magazines (Québec Science, L'Actualité, etc.) and produced interviews and reports for radio current affairs programs at Radio-Canada. He worked at Radio-Canada for 17 years as journalist, Training Manager, IT Project Manager and New Media Director. As Radio-Canada's New media Director, he created this new department for French Television. From a 4-employee team in 1998, he built an efficient service with more than 70 employees in 2000, located in Montreal and in all Canadian regions. This team produced the much awarded Web site Radio-Canada.ca and managed various key projects like the Olympics games Web sites, the election campaigns Web coverage, etc. As President of AméliorAction since 2002, Jean Lalonde provided various consulting services to new media enterprises or organizations like Idéactif Conseil, Canada Health Infoway, Radio-Canada, Ixia Soft, iXmédia, Jeux de l'anse, lab)idéeclic!, Netgraphe (Quebecor Média), Netsym (AgentSolo.com), Novasys, Technomédia, Institut national de l'image et du son (INIS), Bell New Media Fund, Alliance numériQC and Centre de transfert pour la réussite éducative du Québec (CTREQ). The areas of his mandates include: strategic planning, program, project or product evaluation, marketing orientation, sales and production process review, training, etc. He also provides training on information technology and project management to hundreds of managers from HEC Montréal or his own clients. Jean Lalonde published a dozen of books on computers and information technology, the most known being Internet au bout des doigts that has been republished five times since 1995 and has introduced more that 100 000 Quebecers to Internet. Jean Lalonde is fully bilingual. He is accustomed to work with people from various Canadian regions. As manager for many national projects at CBC/Radio-Canada, he frequently had to manage, work with or interview employees, players or stakeholders from both French and English Canada, from Vancouver to Moncton.
